Hairstylists begin training at Bruno’s Schools Of Hair Design
In March, four participants began the Hairstylist Refresher Apprenticeship program at Bruno’s School of Hair Design. The four women shared their excitement about starting a new life in Canada and having the opportunity to work in something they are passionate about. During this apprenticeship, they will attend 450 hours of training and be able to apply for their license with the Ontario College of Trades.
Rania, began her career as a hairstylist in Jordan and kept practising her trade in Dubai. She is excited to be learning from professional teachers who “motivate her to keep going” (photos 2, 3)
Naz, began her career in the beauty industry years ago when she lived in the UK, she trained as an esthetician and is now upgrading her skills in hairstyling to open up her salon in Hamilton. (photos 4, 5, 6)
Lika, is a talented hairstylist who has been working in the field for over 10 years, she worked as a hairstylist in Iran and is now looking forward to working as a professional hairstylist in Hamilton. (photos 7, 8)
Carolina, is a strong and inspirational woman, who has been working in the beauty industry for more than 16 years, she co-owned a hair salon with her mother in Mexico. In her work she has helped many hairstylist find their passion in her home country. She is now making Hamilton her home where she has been learning English to open up her own business. (photos 9, 10)
