Job Summary: The Immigrants Working Centre (IWC) Client Service Navigator works directly with newcomer clients to share information and promote uptake of different IWC programs and activities, and works with key staff to develop new, sustainable internal information and referral pathways for a hybrid service delivery model. This position requires travel to all IWC locations.   Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma or post-secondary education in a relevant discipline plus equivalent experience.
  • Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in a second language is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a customer service position, experience in the non-profit sector is preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced digital literacy, computer and software skills and troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to plan for and deliver activities to engage participants in online services in social, community and network building activities
  • Experience working with newcomers to Canada and a strong understanding of barriers to social and economic participation Exceptional customer service skills and extensive experience in facilitation
  • Highly organized and motivated, able to work in a fast-paced work setting and meet deadlines Able to make informed critical decisions independently without supervision
  • Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills
  • Valid Ontario drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create excellent customer experiences while serving as a key point of contact with clients seeking information and providing accurate, up-to-date information about programs and services
  • Be aware of IWC’s full range of programs and services
  • Connect with other IWC program staff to refer clients to appropriate internal services and support clients in meeting a range of settlement and employment needs.
  • Deliver group sessions to share information about the full range of complementary IWC services
  • Provide external referrals for newcomers and others who are not eligible for IWC's IRCC- funded services.
  • In collaboration with the Community Connections Director, represent IWC at community events promoting IWC’s programs and services.
  • Monitors, records, and evaluates the referral status of program participants. Maintains participant’s attendance in sessions and workshops. Inputs client data into MyIWC and other funder databases.
  • Perform other related duties pertinent to the program as required.
