What is the importance of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma?

Obtaining your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is an important
step to open many doors for your future in Canada, including:

  • Post-secondary Education (College or University)
  • Apprenticeship Programs
  • Community Living
  • Employment Opportunities

Through IWC Academy, you can improve your English language skills while you earn the transferable high school credit you need to acquire your OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma).

Eligibility

To be eligible to earn a CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) and a High School credit, you must:

  • Be a Permanent Resident or a Convention Refugee
  • Be 18 +
  • Attend an interview to determine the best course for you
  • Meet pre-requisites set by the Ministry of Education
