Celebrating 35 years of empowering newcomers in Hamilton

Since 1988, Immigrants Working Centre has empowered newcomers in Hamilton. We began as a grassroots initiative supporting refugees from Central America.

For 35 years, our team has closely collaborated with over 4,000 newcomers in Hamilton annually, supporting their full social, civic, and economic participation in Canada. Today, we continue to empower immigrants, playing a pivotal role in Hamilton’s growth.

As we mark 35 years, we celebrate not only our journey but also the remarkable individuals who’ve supported us, accessed our services, and championed a diverse and inclusive Hamilton for all.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
